Brooks Legacy of Greater Mount Lily Missionary Baptist Church
Mother Lucile Brooks was right there beside her husband, Pastor B.J. Brooks, with unyielding strength and dignity. She is a small woman in stature, but carries a mighty word and testimony. She loves the Lord and is a woman who knows her self-worth. She knows who she is and who she belongs to. She epitomizes the essence of the famous saying, “beside every good man, there stands a good woman.” By her husband’s side stood Mother Lucile Brooks, a woman that God has blessed to still be with us today. She is not a quitter, but a go-getter. She’s a born again Christian. She has a caring and Loving Spirit. In the midst of every trial and tribulation, she consistently confesses, “there is nothing to hard for God.” One of her favorite scriptures is Psalms 27:14, which says, “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”
HONORING MOTHER LUCILE BROOKS
She certainly is a good Mother to her five children: Ann, Lillian, Johnnie, Billie & Janice. She is a good Mother to the Greater Mount Lily congregation, an outstanding grandmother and great grandmother. She was also a loving and devoted wife, to the late Pastor Brooks, who would say to the congregation from time to time, “one thing I do know: if no one else is praying for me, I know my wife is.”
She is a Sunday School Teacher
loves children with a passion. Just look at the children’s faces when they come from her class and you will know they just left Mother Brooks. They are smiling and jumping for joy. Everybody’s child belongs to Mother Brooks. If you need a ride to Sunday school, no matter your age, or where you live, she will make sure you get to church. Mother Brooks has another favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6, which says, “Trust in the Lord with all thine Heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct they path.”
Mother Brooks is a sweet, loving
A genuine Christian woman. She is real, not a phony, and is real ALL the time. She is a joy and inspiration to be around. Those who have the pleasure of knowing her, are truly stronger, richer, and certainly more blessed because of her. She is a Mother, Sister, Teacher, and a Friend. To God be the glory for allowing Mother Brooks to be in our midst, sharing and caring for all around her. She is an excellent role model for anyone to follow. A virtuous woman she is, and her steps are ordered by the Lord. We continually thank God for this LITTLE WOMAN, for how she has been and will continue, with the help of the Lord, to be a blessing to our church family.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord of host, He is the King of glory!
