Covenant

Led by the Spirit of God, we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and, upon our profession of faith, have been baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. In God’s presence, we enter into a joyful covenant as one body in Christ.

By the aid of the Holy Spirit, we commit to walk together in Christian love, advancing our church in knowledge, holiness, and comfort. We will support the church’s worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines, and contribute to its ministry, expenses, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel.

We commit to maintain family and personal devotions, educate our children in faith, seek the salvation of our loved ones, and live justly and faithfully in the world. We will avoid gossip, anger, and intoxicating drinks, and work zealously to advance God’s kingdom.

We will support each other in love, prayer, and times of need, fostering Christian sympathy and reconciliation. Should we move away, we will join another church to continue living out this covenant.

To Him who raised our Lord Jesus from the dead, be Power and Glory forever. Amen.
